I know, I know ... it's been a long time (again) since I was here. I need to learn to be a blogger ... it doesn't come naturally to me. As i posted back in August, I am going to Ireland and Scotland in about two months. I can't wait. It's at the point where I'm counting down the days. It's something like 62 days now .. Whoo hoo!
FACTS:
I've gotten back into rubber-stamping and am now trying to make cards, etc.
At this point I'm probably 90% vegetarian. (Thanks Cassie!) But I'll never become vegan. I love my dairy and eggs and the occasional fish and chicken. :)
That's all for now. Nobody follows this blog so it's really kind of pointless.
Later folks.

My Fairy name
Your fairy name is
Buttercup Elffrost
She is cheerful and friendly.
She lives in clover fields where fairy rings grow.
She is only seen during the first snow of winter.
She wears bright clover green and has transparent green wings like a cicada.
I'm back ... not too much has been happening. I get to go see my grandson next week and I'm so excited! He'll be one year old on Sunday and I've only seen him (in person) two times. I'm luck, however, that I get Facetime with him on a (usually) weekly basis. I hope he'll recognize me when i get there.
I'm starting to get back into crafts ... i've gotten my rubber stamps out and bought some new ink. I see so many cute crafts out in the blogosphere and i want to copy them. i should also get my cross stitch back out and get stated on it. Also "found" a new craft using stickers and glitter. So much to do - so little time. :)

La vie est bonne
My son recently said, "la vie est bonne." Yes, life is great! Things are going well for me. I'm losing weight (slowly but still!) I got to see my grandson several weeks ago and he is growing like a weed. He has the sunniest smile I've ever seen and he's on the move.
I found a CSA locally so Cassie and I will be buying a box every other week. She's been doing a lot of cooking and baking and I get to share in the delicious spoils. Granted, they are vegetarian/vegan dishes but they've actually been pretty good. (However, I draw the line at vegan "butter" - disgusting taste!)
I can't believe it's October already. Cassie and I are planning to go apple and pumpkin picking later this month. As the weather has been in the 90's these last few days, I'm hoping by then it will cool off and I'll think I'm back in New England.
I've started my Christmas shopping and soon the countdown will begin. Cassie and I will probably start listening to Christmas music in about a month. Then by the time January 1st comes along, we'll be tired of it.
Hope this finds you all well and that you're having "la vie est bonne" too. I'll check back again soon. In the meantime, keep up your blogs. I love reading them! Just wish I was as good as you all. xoxoxo

This 'n that
It's been a while since I've "blogged". It's a lot harder than it looks. I envy people who can do this so easily - Tracie, Shawna, etc. I guess I just don't have much of an exciting life. I am excited, however, that my new little grandson Colby (and his parents of course) will be here (California) tomorrow and I can't wait to see them again. The last time I saw Colby he slept a lot, was (possibly) colicky and didnt' know who I was. Now he's ready to crawl, drools a lot, has gotten really big, smiles a lot and is just going to be so much more fun! I usually get to do "face time" with him once a week so I think he's beginning to know who I am. Unfortunately, I'll have to share him with about 25 other family members this weekend so he'll be passed around - A LOT! I'll let you know how it goes.

Moving
What a week!! On Wednesday I did a tai chi class. That was a different experience. It definitely is not for sissies. On Thursday I did my strength/exercise class. Kathy (the instructor) was definitely drilling us that night! Sunday I started yoga - (downward what?) Then don't forget the fact I want to get back into country/line dancing (which would be Monday nights). And I try to walk to work a couple of times a week.
My muscles and my joints and my body have been twisted, stretched, bent, pushed around and mangled. So why don't I look like one of the skinny celebrities yet. Oh well. Body image - that's another story. Time to soak in a hot bath with the boys - Ben & Jerry.

Wanderings
I'm FINALLY going to plan my trip to Ireland/Scotland. I've been wanting to go back to these places for a decade, and so instead of saying "maybe next year", or "soon", I'm doing it now! I've decided on when and with who, but now I need to decide exactly where to go. There are so many places to see in Ireland and Scotland (and of course I need to get back to Stonehenge which is in England) but I don't want to be constantly on the move and I only have a limited amount of time - unless I decide to take a few vacation days WITHOUT pay! Ha. Deeper and deeper into debt I go. But you can't put off trips like these. That "SOME DAY" may never come. And who knows ... maybe I'll meet Gerard Butler in Dun Laoghaire! :)
